A memorable welcomeIt has been three days since we arrived in Egypt and there hasn't been a moment's rest for the Groupe Bel crew. There is a packed schedule with Bel Egypt, and this scarcely leaves enough time to enjoy the pleasures of the city, if they exist. There is so much noise, stuffy heat and a concert of car horns that contrast strongly with the relative calm of sailing off shore. Read more |

Groupe Bel in EgyptBy Toutatis! Kito de Pavant and his two partners, Brice de Crisenoy and Hervé Giorsetti, arrived in Alexandria this morning on board the monohull Groupe Bel. Meltem switched offIt's time for one to rest, for another one to helm and to the other to send the daily news. Finally some air !10,15,20, 25 knots of North West since this morning, which has enabled us to accelerate and... to clean the deck !!! Under the gennaker, we even have had to lower the main sail in order to stay on track. Read more |
