The fabled Trade WindsThe stuff of dreams for thousands, if not millions of people, conjuring up images of relaxing in the Tropics, Pina Colada, sunshine and turquoise lagoons. Things are betterIt looks like were truly off again, not like yesterday evening, when we ended up with the bonus of 24 hours of being stuck on all sides. Thanks very much. We can see that Mémoires St Barth also got moving again well before us, which is both good news and bad news, but we are happy at last to be able follow a normal route and to no longer be subjected to this dreadful calm. First night into the tropicsGood evening, It is too early to claim that we are out of a tight spot, but the day was better than expected, with an irregular wind speed of 6 to 9 knots, and this helped us head south and get out of this huge area of flat calm which is still a threat. Total calmCruel is the life of a sailor. Similar to the isobars, the morale on board Groupe Bel is up and down. Having left Tenerife in last position after their week-long technical stop, Kito de Pavant and Sébastien Audigane really took off on their north route and moved up in the ranking from 25th to 11th place in six days!
