Unfortunately, the 'Meltem' wind did not keep its promise and when sailing between Crete and Lybia, the average speed has fallen.
It must be highlighted that Crete is quite a high island, and that the wind becalm can even be felt in the very South of the island. We still 70 nm to go.
Thus, my arrival previsions to Alexandria that I proudly announced by email to "Capt’ain Ahmed", our Egyptian spokesman will have to be re-calculated.
Rather than tomorrow night it seems more accurate that we will have to wait until Tuesday morning to get next to this famous headlight; we will confirm that tomorrow morning.
