After having finished victualling, being full of diesel oil, the irritating administrative tasks, we release moor under the eyes of the joyful band of Bel America with which we spent a few wonderful days here in Key West.
The Key West Operation went very well. The nice weather was part of it and the guests, Venezuelans, Mexicans, Canadian, American and French seemed delighted of the various navigations aboard Groupe Bel. And us as well. We would have liked to stay a bit more in the Tropics but we still have to bring this pretty boat back to its home port in order to carry out a general check-up.
We are 3 on board for this transatlantic, Brice, my son Hugo and myself. It won’t be too much for those 3 weeks of navigation. Hervé and Gwen will return by plane to prepare the following events and to also take some well deserved rest. The first week’s conditions seem quite good but windy as we will enjoy a “nice” depression that is forming itself on Florida which should pass us by the North and which will, as for tomorrow, enable us to sail off the wind during one week.
We will try to keep you regularly informed of our progression towards winter…
