There's no choice. So we'll have to go through. It won't be easy because there really isn't any wind ahead and I'm afraid that we will spend more time than planned by the weather data. So, either we'll have a general grouping of the fleet or our friends in the west will get the icing on the cake. We'll know soon enough.
We passed some tens of miles off the Brazilian islands of Martin Vaz and Trindade (20°33 S). I don’t know if they are inhabited, since they are really far from everything, but since Gibraltar, these are the closest shores to our route.
We are taking advantage of this calm weather to check anything that still can be checked. Today we carried out an inspection of the mast, rigging and so we had to climb to 30 metres above the sea. All is well, from that point of view.
We must now stay patient and wait for the SHOICC (Saint Helena Oceanographic Isobaric Construction Company) to finish their work.
