We're getting there slowly. Well, not that slowly actually, since although the wind eased off a good bit as we sailed up to less extreme latitudes (50°25S yesterday, Sunday), we were able to hoist the mended spirate, and with a calmer sea, our average remains high.

Unfortunately, this will not last long, because we will have to face the high pressure that blocks our route to Wellington and, whether we pass straight through, left or right, there will inevitably be a slowdown and a new hand of cards. Only the leader will continue to benefit from good weather conditions.

It should be mentioned that we have a serious problem with the Australian in charge of painting the ceiling. This guy decided that he didn’t like blue, and even now, it’s a bit better. Yesterday, it was dark and broody, and today there’s a little white in there, moreover, with the red spinnker, it’s not that bad. For a moment I believed it. I said to myself, this guy is feeling better after the weekend and I thought that the light was about to split the many shades of grey. But no, once again today, the sun will not rise.

Here’s hoping that our New Zealander friend will be a little more cheerful.
