Time to recover and make plans

From Mayenne, Cléry, Dole, Sablé, Nivelles, Lons and Paris, the ambassadors Club members who keep the sailing project alive in the workplace all through the year, questioned our sailors, still recovering from their transatlantic race.
A look back on the race, but also short, medium and long term plans; everything was covered. The latest news is that the Groupe Bel monohull set off from Puerto Limon yesterday morning, heading for the island of St Barts. On board were its loyal crewmen: Gwen Gbick, Brice de Crisenoy and Hervé Giorsetti.
Yann will head back yesterday evening to return to his work as a sailmaker at North Sails in Brittany. After a few days rest on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, Kito will go to St Barts (by plane, for once!), where he will find his steed again and meet the Bel partners in the Carribean. He will then head off for a new transatlantic crossing, for a single-handed delivery bringing him back home to Port Camargue!
The Transat Jacques Vabre is now over and the Vendée Globe is already on the horizon. In truth, when you undertake this kind of IMOCA program, the 'Vendée' challenge is always on the horizon. The life of these projects, technically, competitively and from a human point of view are greatly conditioned by the toughest of the single-handed offshore races. One year from the start, tackling the Atlantic alone in a few days, will give Kito a chance to really get into the swing of things!
